Celebrating 20 years of natural science and environmental education, the Ocean Isle Museum of Coastal Carolina and Ingram Planetarium Foundation is hosting a Wine Fest 2012 on Saturday, April 28, 2012 from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. This fundraiser features wines from three vineyards in North Carolina’s own Yadkin Valley, tasty treats from local restaurants such as Sharky’s, Causeway Gourmet, and Fibber McGees, a live auction, a silent auction, and a chance to socialize with friends and neighbors while supporting the Ocean Isle Museum Foundation, Inc. Located in the Piedmont area of North Carolina, the Yadkin Valley is rapidly gaining a reputation for its high-quality grapes and award-winning wines. Proceeds from the Wine Fest will go toward refurbishing the Museum of Coastal Carolina and Ingram Planetarium. Museum of Coastal Carolina, 21 East Second Street, Ocean Isle Beach, NC. The North Myrtle Beach St. Patrick's Day Parade and Festival will be on Saturday, March 17, 2012 beginning at 9 a.m. and lasting until 4 p.m. After the parade, Main Street in North Myrtle Beach comes to life with an annual festival. Over 125 vendors will display their arts and crafts. Food vendors and Main Street businesses will have a variety of treats for everyone to enjoy. Two stages of continuous live entertainment will keep the Irish spirit in you all day. The children's area will be chocked full of rides and games for all ages.
