33rd Annual World Famous Blue Crab Festival

One of the most exciting events that take place in the Coastal Carolinas every spring is the World Famous Blue Crab Festival in Little River, SC. This year marks the 33rd anniversary of the festival that showcases the local Little River community. The festival will take place on the waterfront in Little River between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. on May 17 and 18, 2014.The Blue Crab Festival is easily one of the largest festivals in the southeast with over 50,000 attending every year. In attendance will be more than 200 fine arts and crafts vendors, specialty food vendors, lots of entertainment and a phenomenal childrenâs area.Advance ticket sales are $3 for 1-day advance ticket and $5 for two day advance ticket. Tickets are available at the Little River Chamber of Commerce, North Myrtle Beach Chamber of Commerce, Peopleâs Community Bank in Little River and all First Federal locations on the Grand Strand. You can get a printable free child and student pass by going to the Blue Crab Festival website.The 2014 Myrtle Beach Bike Fest takes place from May 13-17 at the Myrtle Beach Speedway, 455 Hospitality Lane, Myrtle Beach. Come take part in the NASCAR racing experience and ride your bike around the track. Custom bagger bike show. Poker runs on track. Wheels of Destruction on May 14 at 7 p.m. AMA Super Moto Short Track Mayhem Race. SCC Radio Daily and plenty of live music by Dan Lawson Band. Free admission.On May 17 from 10 a.m. until noon there will be a Blessing of the Bikes/Bikers at the Little River United Methodist Church at the corner of Mineola & Hwy 17 across from the Blue Crab Festival. There will be free coffee and donuts and Blessed Bikers get $2 off the admission to the festival.
