4 Ways to Save a Bundle on Your Summer Vacation

When you’re on a shoestring budget but want to enjoy a beach vacation keep the following tips in mind and you can have a wonderful time without the huge expense. We have some great tips to help you save money on Sunset Beach, North Carolina vacation rentals that you’ll then have available to spend on other things.

Sunset Beach is the southernmost of the North Carolina barrier islands and is 3 miles of the most beautiful beachfront in the state. It’s an ideal location for anyone who enjoys pier fishing, surf fishing, swimming, surfing, building sandcastles — all the things that are associated with the beach. While a North Carolina trip offers one of the most affordable vacation destinations in the United States, any type of traveling can be pretty costly.

4 Easy Ways to Save a Bundle on Your Summer Vacation

Reserve Accommodations Early
This is so important that we can’t stress it enough. If you are thinking about renting a vacation home, you must make your reservation as early as you possibly can. Doing this will give you the greatest selection of vacation homes to choose from and at the best prices.

Plan Your Days Around Free Local Events
A great way to save some money is to take advantage of the free events taking place in the area. Take a trip to one or more of the wonderful lighthouses, go to free festivals and events, go for a bicycle ride, take a walk along the boardwalk, go shell collecting, or just spend the day on the beach relaxing. The possibilities are truly endless.

Dine In More Often Than Out
One of the biggest advantages to renting a house or Condo is having a fully equipped kitchen and a dining room table available. Try to plan the majority of meals to enjoy at your vacation home. To keep it exciting, why not make things you wouldn’t ordinarily be having at home. Prepare picnic lunches to have on the beach or stock a cooler with sandwiches and snacks you made to bring on a day trip if you go out.

Picnic on the Beach
