Can you believe that Spring Break will be here in just over a month? It seems like the year is already flying by so quickly and soon the kids will be out of school for the summer. Bunny Hop
Have you ever heard the song "Here Comes Peter Cottontail" as a child? Join us as the Town of Ocean Isle Beach hosts their very own Bunny Hop on April 4, 2020 from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm. This will be their 2nd Annual Event as the Halloween Trunk or Treat was very successful in 2019. Held at 3 W Third Street, Ocean Isle Beach will be the amazing eggstravaganza! Each child will be able to go from car to car to gather fun Easter treats from local residents. There will also be lots of fun activities for the whole family to enjoy. Don't miss this fun event happening with the family on your vacation this Spring Break!
Kite Day
When you were a kid, did you ever go to the beach and get excited about flying a kite? If you answered yes, then we have the perfect activity that you can do as a family. On Saturday, April 11th from 2:00pm to 4:00pm you can join in the Annual Community Kite Day here in Ocean Isle Beach. For the first 100 kids who attend they will receive a free kite and if you happen to miss out there will be family kites available for purchase as well. It will be held at the Ocean Isle Beach Community Center on 44 East First Street and is one you won't want to miss.
A Taste of Calabash
On Saturday, April 18th the town of Calabash is hosting their 5th Annual A Taste of Calabash Festival. This year you will be able to get your tickets on the day of the festival and is only a 1-day event. The cost of admission is $10 per person and you will receive a wristband that will allow you to enjoy a tasting tour. There will also be some arts & crafts vendors, live entertainment and so much more. A Taste of Calabash Festival will be held at the Calabash Town Park and will be from 11:00 am to 6:00 pm. Don't miss this fun event that is fun for the whole family!
Spend Time on the Beach
Anytime you visit Ocean Isle Beach on vacation, spending the day on the beach is one activity that everyone loves. Whether it is hot or warm out, sitting in a chair, have the umbrella up and packing your lunch to enjoy in the sand, is what many think of. Spring Break is a great time to visit the beach and have a good time with friends and family. Spend the day building sandcastles with the kids, play a little frisbee or just sit back and listen to the waves in the background. There are so many different things that you can do while on the beach so take advantage of the sun and surf on Spring Break this year.
