Holiday Gatherings: Beach Rentals Large Enough for a Crowd

When your house is not quite large enough to hold all the friends and family you have coming for your annual holiday gathering, we have the solution. Why not reserve one of our beach rentals and, just for the holidays, make it your very own!

Ingram Planetarium Holiday Laser Light and Music Show for your Holiday Gathering

Ingram Planetarium has their annual Holiday Laser Light & Music Show that is a must-see if you want to get into the mood of the holiday season. A new holiday show this year is called "Let It Snow." It features a variety of festive holiday music with an amazing soundtrack that is visually enhanced with animation, laser imagery, special effects, and full-dome visual scenery. It includes a stunning multi-media finale by TSO, or The Trans-Siberian Orchestra.

This is a fun and entertaining show for all ages. Shows Dec. 17-19, 26, 28-31, and Jan. 2 at 7 p.m. - Let It Snow; 6 p.m. - Laser Holidays. Per-show admission is $8 for adults (13-61), $7 for seniors (62+), $6 for children (3-12), and free for ages 2 and under.

Frozen movie Flashlight Candy Cane Hunt and movie

There's a Frozen Flashlight Candy Cane Hunt & Movie taking place in Middleton Park at 4700 East Oak Island Drive, on Oak Island on December 18, 2015. The free Candy Cane Hunt begins at 6 p.m. and the free movie "Frozen" will be shown on the soccer field at 6:45 p.m. Hunting for candy canes and glow-in-the-dark eggs on the softball field. Afterwards enjoy hot chocolate and a visit from Santa. Bring lawn chairs and blankets to watch the movie.

Bolivia, North Carolina Christmas Parade

If you haven't caught a Christmas parade yet this year, your last chance is coming up on Dec. 19 in Bolivia. The Bolivia Christmas Parade proceeds from Old Ocean Highway at Brunswick County Complex to Bolivia Fire Department Station. Line up begins at 10 a.m. at the Brunswick County Complex. Food and refreshments will be available after the parade at the Bolivia Fire Department. This event is free and open to the public.

Victorian Holiday at the Southport, North Carolina Maritime Museum

Join the NC Maritime Museum at Southport for its popular program, "Victorian Holiday".

Learn about the Victorian period when a young German prince unknowingly started a tradition and brought the Christmas tree into vogue. Berlin meets Brunswick, as we add a little Southern charm to our program with pine cone decorating. Whether making spiders for good luck, or giving your birds a winter present for the yard, the fun will continue while enjoying eggnog and cookies. For all ages. $5 each.
