Pirateer West

Walking into this house I instantly felt like grandma was come around the corner with sunscreen and beach toys. Vintage feel with a home like atmosphere. The master bedroom and bathroom on the main level was great and the 2 bedrooms and bath upstairs was perfect for the kiddos. The stairs are a bit narrow going upstairs. The beach access was perfectly spaced away from public access so you aren't overrun with people. It is a duplex so be nice to the neighbors because they hear you just like you hear them although our neighbors were AMAZING and tho i was worried about my kiddos making too much noise we were reassured that kids at the beach means laughter and fun and shouldn't be a bother if everyone was there to have fun!

Amazing oceanfront view! This unit has lots of character feels like you are stepping back in time as soon as you walk in. Loved the enclosed outdoor shower as the shower in the first floor bedroom is quite small. Unit was clean and comfortable for the price. Would stay here again in the future.

My family (5 adults total) rented this property in late summer of 2020 as a getaway during the COVID crisis. Overall, the property was great - it was exactly as advertised, and it was amazing to be right on the beach. I personally cannot imagine putting more than maybe 6 adults in this property, though. The living room seating is a bit awkward, and we actually rearranged the furniture while we were there to have it make a bit more sense for us. The dining space was a bit cramped, and to have more than 2 people in the kitchen at a time could be a struggle. There also were some odd things missing in the kitchen, like measuring cups and a pizza cutter, but nothing devastating that we couldn't live without (pro tip: use bottled water for measuring, if necessary!). TL;DR: Space can be an issue for more than 5-6 adults, but overall this property was well worth it!
