Ocean Isle Beach

Ocean Isle Beach is just a short drive over a modern bridge, crossing the famous Intracoastal Waterway. spanning marsh savannas. The beach runs east to west and offers a fishing pier, public boat launch facility, direct access to the Intracoastal Waterway, between Wilmington and Myrtle Beach.

A fireworks display will take place from the Ocean Isle Beach Pier on rd at approximately The display will last approximately 20 minutes. Viewers will be able to see the display from the pier, the beach, or anywhere on the Island.

The annual Ocean Isle Beach Freedom Celebration and 4th of July Parade will take place on Tuesday, July 4th beginning at and feature decorated golf carts and bicycles. Participants should meet in the parking lot of the Museum Planetarium at The parade will head down 2nd Street to Lee Street.

Sunset Beach

Sunset Beach is in southwestern Brunswick County and is the last developed Atlantic Ocean beach before the South Carolina border.

Starting at on the 4th, the Old Bridge Preservation Society has planned fun and festivities for visitors and residents alike!

With patriotic music playing and flags waving at the Old Bridge Museum, 109 Shoreline Drive West, Sunset Beach, there are a number of activities planned that are kid-friendly.

Children and adults are encouraged to bring decorated bicycles, wagons, strollers or sneakers to ride and/or march across the Old Bridge in step to rousing patriotic music. This parade is a perfect photo opportunity for grandparents and parents to capture the children in their red, white, and blue splendor.

Immediately following the parade, volunteers from the Old Bridge Preservation Society have planned stations with adult-supervised, good old-fashioned, All-American games and activities.

And after the parade and games, light refreshments will be available.
